11-Day Itinerary

Day 1 | Arrival in Shanghai

Airport pickup and private transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax and settle in.

Overnight: Shanghai

Day 2 | Shanghai — Old & New Shanghai

Begin with the Jade Buddha Temple, followed by the Shanghai Tower, where you will ascend to the 118th floor for panoramic views of the city.

Explore Shanghai’s historic neighborhoods and local streets, such as Wukang Road or Sinan Mansions, with a complimentary coffee experience.

Continue to Nanjing Road and the Bund, famous for its historic international architecture. In the evening, enjoy views of Shanghai illuminated along the Huangpu River.

Lunch: Shanghai-style Xiaolongbao
Overnight: Shanghai

Day 3 | Shanghai → Suzhou — Classical Gardens & Pingtan

Travel to Suzhou, the elegant “City of Classical Gardens.”

Visit Humble Administrator’s Garden or Lingering Garden, followed by Lion Grove Garden and Tiger Hill.

Stroll along historic Shantang Street and experience an authentic Suzhou Pingtan performance, combining traditional storytelling and music.

Lunch: Songshu Guiyu — Sweet & Sour Mandarin Fish
Overnight: Suzhou

Day 4 | Suzhou → Wuzhen → Hangzhou

Travel to Wuzhen Dongzha, one of the most charming ancient water towns in the Jiangnan region.

Explore its historic streets, canals and traditional architecture, and enjoy a hand-rowed boat ride through the waterways.

In the late afternoon, continue to Hangzhou.

Local specialty: Wuzhen Boatman’s Rice Dumpling
Overnight: Hangzhou

Day 5 | Hangzhou — West Lake, Tea & Traditional Culture

Explore Lingyin Temple or Jingci Temple, followed by the scenic beauty of West Lake.

Visit a Longjing Tea Garden and enjoy a traditional tea-tasting experience, with seasonal tea picking available when conditions permit.

Continue to Southern Song Imperial Street and Hu Qing Yu Tang, discovering Hangzhou’s traditional commercial culture and Chinese medicine heritage.

Lunch: Longjing Tea Shrimp
Overnight: Hangzhou

Day 6 | Hangzhou → Yi County → Hongcun

Begin the day at Wensan Future Technology Experience Center, discovering some of the technologies shaping modern China and gaining a glimpse into Hangzhou’s reputation as one of China’s leading technology and innovation hubs.

In the afternoon, take the high-speed train from Hangzhou West to Yixian East, then continue to the historic Huizhou region.

Lunch: Dongpo Pork
Overnight: Hongcun

Day 7 | Hongcun & Xidi → Huangshan

Explore the ancient Huizhou villages of Hongcun and Xidi, famous for their elegant white-walled, black-tiled architecture and tranquil waterways. Continue to Huangshan, take the cable car up the mountain and enjoy the spectacular sunset from the mountain, weather permitting.

Overnight: Xihai Hotel / Beihai Hotel, Huangshan Mountain

Day 8 | Huangshan → Nanjing — Sunrise & Mountain Scenery

Wake early for the spectacular Huangshan sunrise, weather permitting.

Continue exploring the Yellow Mountains before descending by cable car.

In the afternoon, take the high-speed train from Huangshan North to Nanjing South, arriving in the evening.

Lunch: Mountain‑top Buffet 

Overnight: Nanjing

Day 9 | Nanjing — Imperial Heritage & Six Dynasties

Visit Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum. If it is closed on Monday, the visit will be replaced by Meiling Palace.

Continue to Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, one of the most important imperial tombs of the Ming Dynasty, and enjoy the scenery around Yanque Lake.

Visit the Six Dynasties Museum to learn about Nanjing’s important role as the capital of six ancient dynasties.

Finish the day at Deji Plaza, one of Nanjing’s modern luxury shopping destinations.

Overnight: Nanjing

Day 10 | Nanjing — Buddhist Heritage & Jinling Culture

This morning visit Zhonghua Gate, one of the best-preserved ancient city gates in China., after that  proceed to Niushou Mountain, renowned for its spectacular Buddhist architecture and cultural heritage.

In the afternoon, explore Jinling Town, a recreation of historic Nanjing featuring traditional architecture, live performances, intangible cultural heritage experiences and optional traditional costume photography.

Lunch: Niushou Mountain Vegetarian Cuisine
Overnight: Nanjing

Day 11 | Departure from Nanjing

After breakfast, enjoy free time until your departure.

Private transfer to Nanjing Airport or railway station for your onward journey.
