Itinerary

Day 1 Shanghai

Arrival airport pick-up, private transfer to the hotel. No arranged lunch and dinner. Overnight in Shanghai.

Day 2 Shanghai(B,L)

Start your day at Jiuguang Department Store to experience the UTree humanoid robot exhibition . Take photos at the iconic LV Visionary Journey ship exterior (interior art exhibition requires guests’ personal advance reservation). Next, explore Zhangyuan, a historic Shikumen complex with authentic old Shanghai architecture. Then visit the world-famous Starbucks Reserve Roastery for an immersive flagship coffee factory experience. Continue to Xintiandi to visit the DJI Flagship Store and Tesla Experience Center.

In the later afternoon, cross to Pudong. Ascend to the 118th-floor observation deck of Shanghai Tower to enjoy the beautiful sunset transitioning into stunning night views. Stroll through Lujiazui Financial Center to appreciate the modern city skyline. Finish the day with a leisurely walk along the historic Bund to admire the century-old exotic architectural complex and brilliant night scenery.

Lunch: Meal: Soup dumplings, one cup of coffee. No arranged dinner.

Day 3 Shanghai – Suzhou(B,L)

Drive to Suzhou. Visit Lingering Garden, Lion Grove Garden and Tiger Hill Pagoda. Enjoy Suzhou Pingtan storytelling performance with tea at Shantang Ancient Street, followed by a Grand Canal cruise.

Lunch: Authentic water town-style Suzhou cuisine. No arranged dinner.

Overnight in Suzhou.

Day 4 Suzhou – Wuzhen – Hangzhou(B,L)

After breakfast, head to East Wuzhen Water Town for sightseeing. Continue the trip to Hangzhou in the late afternoon.

Lunch: Simple box meal. No arranged dinner. Overnight in Hangzhou.

Day 5 Hangzhou(B,L)

Full-day city tour of Hangzhou: Visit Lingyin Temple, West Lake Scenic Area, Longjing Tea Plantations-Tea picking, processing & tasting experience(Tea picking is subject to seasonal availability.), Hu Qing Yu Tang Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum and Southern Song Imperial Street.

Lunch: Traditional Hangzhou local feast. No arranged dinner.

Overnight in Hangzhou.

Day 6 Hangzhou – Yixian (Hongcun)(B,L)

In the morning, Explore the West Bridge Historic Canal District in Hangzhou. Visit the iconic Gongchen Bridge and wander along the ancient Grand Canal.Experience local intangible cultural heritage handcraft activities, including fan-making or paper-cutting. In the afternoon, take high-speed train to the Huangshan area.

Lunch: Simple box meal. No arranged dinner.

Overnight in Hongcun Village.

Day 7 Hongcun – Huangshan(B,L)

Sightsee Hongcun Ancient Village first. Transfer to Huangshan Mountain, take the cable car up to the mountain top to appreciate the stunning Huangshan sunset viewing, subject to weather conditions.

Lunch: Classic Huizhou local cuisine. No arranged dinner.

Overnight at hotel on Huangshan mountain top.

Day 8 Huangshan – Nanjing(B,)

Get up early to watch the famous Huangshan sunrise, subject to weather conditions. then spend the whole day touring Huangshan’s scenic peaks. Take the cable car down the mountain in the afternoon. Take high-speed train to Nanjing.

Overnight in Nanjing.

Day 9 Nanjing(B,L)

Visit Dr. Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum (we will switch to Meiling Palace on Mondays when the mausoleum’s burial chamber is closed), Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum and the Six Dynasties Museum. Wander Laomen East Cultural Block to watch intangible cultural heritage demonstrations including sugar painting and paper-cut art(Personal expenses at your own cost).

Lunch: Huaiyang-style local cuisine. No arranged dinner. Overnight in Nanjing.

Day 10 Nanjing – Beijing(B,L)

Visit Niushoushan Scenic Area in the morning, then take Fuxing high-speed train to Beijing.

Lunch: Special Nanjing salted duck set meal. No arranged dinner.

Overnight in Beijing.

Day 11 Beijing(B,L)

Tour Tiananmen Square and the Palace Museum (Forbidden City), covering the Treasure Gallery and Nine-Dragon Wall. If Palace Museum tickets are fully booked, we will substitute it with Prince Gong’s Mansion. Afterwards, climb Jingshan Park for a panoramic overlook of the entire Forbidden City. Experience a rickshaw hutong tour, then wander Shichahai Lake area with optional bars and coffee shops for free time(Personal expenses at your own cost).

Lunch: Homemade meal at a local Beijing resident’s home. No arranged dinner.

Overnight in Beijing.

Day 12 Beijing(B,L)

Drive to Mutianyu Great Wall; choose round-trip cable car or chairlift up + toboggan slide down for sightseeing. Return to downtown Beijing to view the exteriors of the Bird’s Nest National Stadium and Water Cube National Aquatics Center. Watch an acrobatic show in the evening.

Lunch: Self-service buffet with red wine. Dinner: Farewell Peking duck feast. Overnight in Beijing.

Day 13 Beijing(B)

Visit Temple of Heaven for a blessing ceremony; guests can join a Tai Chi experience session in the early morning. Transfer to the airport for departure flight after the tour. Your flight departs time should be after 14:00, otherwise you need to skip the Temple of Heaven itinerary on your own.

No arranged lunch and dinner. Tour concludes with airport drop-off.
