Why This Tour

Experience Northeast China at its most magical on a journey that goes far beyond Harbin's famous ice sculptures.

Start in Harbin, where European-influenced architecture, lively old neighborhoods and vibrant Spring Festival traditions meet a world of ice and snow. Then leave the city behind and travel into the mountains for alpine skiing in Yabuli, the snow-covered fairytale village of Xuexiang, and the spectacular frozen landscapes of Jingpo Lake.

What makes this journey special is the variety of winter experiences. You won't simply look at snow — you'll ski through it, walk through it, play on it, photograph it and experience how local people have traditionally lived with it.

From heated brick-bed homestays and Northeast folk traditions to winter fishing on a frozen lake, this itinerary offers a deeper look at the culture and lifestyle behind China's legendary winter landscapes.

One journey, four unforgettable winter worlds — Harbin, Yabuli, Xuexiang and Jingpo Lake.
